2010 Race Rules are posted - Handler List Coming soooon!

 

The F.V.C Snowbird is under new management with a new chairman and a new committee and  backroom staff. The race has the potential to be the biggest ever such is the level of enthusiasm right now. The race is going in a new direction literally,  from the East, approximately 350 miles.

The race is open to all Clubs in the L.A area, F.V.C, Compton and Orange County. We have the potential to have over 30 handlers and over 3000 birds with a possible 1st prize of $50,000 this is a conservative estimate. Flying East gives every location an even chance and avoids the fog and winds on the North course in November.

The race will be shipped 3rd week in January 2011. this again, gives all birds a chance to mature and get trained. There’s only going to be one main race with two 150 mile training races to catalogue the birds. First ten birds in the race will be tossed

This race is going to be fully modernized with up to date information and with up front integrity throughout, and availability of your Chairman and committee. If it’s integrity and prestige you want send your birds to the 2010 Snowbird Open!

First 10 breeders will be on the cover of the Racing Pigeon Digest and a full report on the race in Digest.

Price will be $1,250.00 for 5 birds. With one bird going on rotation.

DUE TO INCREASED INTEREST IN THE RACE FROM PROSPECTIVE BREEDERS AND HANDLERS ALIKE, WE HAVE DECIDED TO SHIP THE RACE FROM ST. GEORGE, UTAH JAN. 22, 2011. THERE WILL BE A FUTURITY RACE 3 WEEKS LATER FROM THE SAME STATION WITH ANY SURVIVING BIRDS GOING BACK TO THE FUTURITY. YOU CAN BUY INTO THE FUTURITY FOR AN EXTRA $50.00.

AS YOU ALL KNOW THE WEATHER IN CALIFORNIA THIS WEEK WAS MISERABLE BUT IT WAS FOLLOWED BY A GLORIOUS WEEKEND. THE WEATHER WAS CLEAR THROUGH NEVADA. THIS COULD BE US NEXT YEAR WITH A BIT OF LUCK AND SOME CAREFUL MANAGEMENT FROM YOUR COMMITEE ITS SHAPING UP TO BE A GREAT RACE. THE QUESTION REMAINS, ARE YOU IN?
