John Stephen Compton Club 3210 Chestnut Ave. Long Beach, Ca, USA 90806 Hello to all !! This is to let everyone know that I have partnered up with Steve Baldwin for this years Snowbird race. Flying from his yard, which has won this race 3 times in the past, coupled with Stephen Bro's. YB system will be a deadly combination. We will get them ready for the St. George trip and expect to be in the hunt come race day.
Anyway, we would like to invite everyone to this years race. As usual, all birds will be returned to the breeders after the race (except the top 10 which get auctioned off). I will also have a section on our web site dedicated to the Snowbird race where you will get weekly updates and see all the training that the birds go thru. We will also be taking futurity birds which are $50 ea. So send a couple of each, the futurity race is released at the same time as the snows. We will have a lot of fun this year, so don't miss out. Larry Felt (Senator Loft) I NEED YOUR BEST LATE HATCH. The Senator and the Snowbird race 2010. Pick the best cock/hen from your best breeders and send them to me. I will have your pigeons for 8 to 9 months. Plenty of time to get them setup for the mid Jan. 2011 race date. The weather, on race day will help the winner. On a calm day every handler has a great chance. This NEW SNOWBIRD RACE, FROM ST.GEORGE, UTAH. 335 miles Plus or minus five miles for all handlers, will be a true test of your quality pigeons. It will take a tough pigeon to make it to the race, flying and training over high desert and mountains. I have more time than most of the handlers to take care of your champion, so send your best to me and lets get them home on top. As always I will return your Champion to you if you pay the freight. Jose Ibarra & Miguel Ibarra's Loft is only flying snowbirds and futurity snowbirds, that means i'm not flying for my main club(Compton Club),I will work hard for this, not only on training or racing seasons, but the whole year. Because I think a good flyer is starting before the young one's are hatching and old birds need's to be in good health for good result's. |

Conrad Mullins "IRISH YANK" I don't like to brag about my achiements. I like to refer to myself as a middle age fat guy and leave it at that. As far as Pigeon Flying goes, the fact that I have managed to fly consecutively for 18 years, with a demanding job and a life outside of pigeons is an achievment in its self. I have demonstrated on more than one occasion my ability as a flyer. I don't follow conventional methods or theories about pigeons. I work all over L.A. county and my birds get trained from wherever I work, most of the time in the so called wrong direction. The bird that won the 300 mile band race for me this year was trained in the wrong direction in the morning and was single tossed in the right direction in the afternoon. At the 350 two weeks later I was 4th combine shipping only a handfull of birds when other members shipped up to 65 birds, as it was an open race. That same bird won all the pool money in that race. I finished up winning ave. speed long. My system is based on health, condition as training the birds from every point on the compass.
